This workshop for primary and secondary teachers interested in introducing students to Physical Computing and coding will be led by Mr Tim Stephens and will be held in the Library on the Yaamba Road Campus.
The Micro:bit is a device designed in the UK by the BBC for use in computer education. It has Bluetooth and USB connectivity, has a 25 LED display and two programmable buttons. The Micro:bit V2 has additional functionality including a microphone and speaker. The workshop will cater for both.
Teachers will preferably need to bring a laptop but an iPad can also be used. Tim will use the following website for his PD resources https://sites.google.com/view/microbit-pd/home

Beginners @ 8:30 – 12:30pm
Advanced @ 1:00 – 5:00pm
Cost per session: $50
All QSITE members will receive a free Micro:bit V2 worth $30
Lunch will be supplied for those who attend BOTH sessions.
