Micro:bit Workshop – Plan your Project

25 March, 2021 @ 3:45 pm - 5:30 pm

Following our successful 2020 Micro:bit introductory workshop, QSITE Gold Coast presents the next step in our Micro:bit Workshop/ Challenge series.

Micro:bit Workshop – Plan your Project will focus on assisting teachers to create a student Technologies project in order to solve a problem in their environment. Participants will:

  • Work together to develop a project exemplar using the micro:bit
  • Begin to examine possible projects to use with their own student groups

Later in the year, student groups will be able to participate in our Micro:bit Challenge. Teachers will be supported to work with their students towards the student challenge. However participants of this workshop do not have to commit to the Micro:bit Challenge.

Who Should Attend?

  • Primary and lower secondary teachers looking to develop their skills in creating student Technologies projects
  • Some prior knowledge of micro:bit is needed as we will not be covering the basics

What Should I Bring?

Bring your micro:bit and a laptop/iPad that is able to connect to your micro:bit. If you do not yet have your own micro:bit, there will be an option to purchase a V1 device at the workshop.
