QSITE Gold Coast presents a second FREE professional development workshop for teachers this term. This event will suit primary and lower secondary teachers.
STEM – Design Thinking for Primary Teachers
at Mudgeeraba Creek State School
after school from 4pm – 5:30pm
on Thursday 7th November
Design thinking is a creative process where students learn to solve problems and take on new challenges. It’s an exciting way to empower students in Technologies and STEM.
In this PD you will immerse yourself in the STEMPunks Design Thinking processes and understand how to integrate this framework into your teaching of the Digital Technology and Design and Technologies curriculum areas. By employing user-centric design strategies in classroom learning, students will learn to empathise with users, identify real world problems and use STEM Tools for rapid prototyping of their solutions.
