QSITE Gold Coast invites you to attend our first 2020 professional development meet-up, followed by our Annual General Meeting. You don’t have to be a financial member, come along as our events are for all Gold Coast teachers.

3:30-4:30 Professional Development

For teachers of Digital Solutions, come along and watch the first QCAA Online Webinar for 2019 “Technologies: Digital Solutions ISMG”, so much more fun with friends, starting at 3:30 PM, followed by the QSITE Gold Coast AGM.

For other teachers including primary we aim to start the year with a TECHmeet. Let’s share old, new, quick, tried & true ideas and strategies to get ICT general capabilities and Digital Technologies happening in our classrooms. We’ll share some of our favourites with you and invite you to share yours. Together we’ll compile a PowerPoint of ideas that will be emailed to attendees at the end of the meeting.

4:30-5:00 QSITE Gold Coast Chapter AGM

This meeting is to elect office-bearers for the positions of Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer and general members of our planning team for 2020. While those currently in those positions (Jason Zagami – Chairperson, Michele Pikunic – Secretary, Jenni Fewtrell – Treasurer) are happy to continue in our current roles, we would be very happy to have new additions to the QSITE Gold Coast Chapter planning team and even new nominations for the above roles for those keen to be very involved. Although these positions of Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer are only open to financial members of QSITE, others are welcome to become general members and assist with planning of our events throughout the year.

5:00-5:30 General meeting and sharing of 2020 events

In the coming year, QSITE Gold Coast aims to continue to support Gold Coast teachers through professional development events, to have regular TECHmeets and to introduce teacher-supported student challenges. Have your say about how we can help address your needs and those of your schools. We will also continue to develop our community and business involvement in local education opportunities through our alliance with the Gold Coast EduTech group. We have an exciting year ahead of it and you are welcome to be part of it.
