9:00am: Unpacking Unit 2: Applications and data solutions
• Topic 1: Data-driven problems and solution requirements
• Topic 2: Data and programming techniques
• Topic 3: Prototype data solutions
9:15am: Presentation by Richard Kelly, HOD eLearning at Toowoomba SHS:
Using PHP and MySQL (through phpMyAdmin) in conjunction with HTML,
CSS and JavaScript to build a database driven web application / game.
10:45 am: Morning tea
11:15am: Presentation by Steve Tucker, IT teacher at Varsity College:
Using GameFrame (Python based) to teach object oriented, event driven
programming and connection to SQLite + MyQueryTutor.
12:45 pm: Lunch
1:15pm: Break into groups to develop assessment instruments
3:00pm: Planning for Unpacking Digital Solutions Unit 3 workshop
3:15 pm: Close
This is a flexible “open mic” agenda with all participants invited to present to the group.
