Other Representations

QSITE continue to support and represent its members through QSA Committee involvement and representation at consultation meetings.

Other Positions

QSITE Advocacy Committee Members have, during 2007, also been heavily involved in:

  • providing feedback toward shaping the draft ICT Essential Learnings into cross-curricular priority overview statements/guidelines, to be included in proposed new versions of the KLA syllabus documents being developed by the Queensland Studies Authority. ICT guidelines will need to be referred to in accordance with the Essential Learnings in each KLA to shape learning, assessment and reporting under the governance of the requirements of QCAR.
  • providing input at meetings and drafting brief written responses at strategic times to inform the proposed Senior Phase of Learning. The committee have been both representing and involving members in reviewing drafts, attending meetings and making recommendations, especially where the interests of ICT in education are concerned, regarding its retaining a vital, important place as a specialist discipline in the Senior Phase.

QSITE’s involvement has been welcomed and much of our recommendations taken into account.

QSITE will continue to support and represent its members through QSA Committee involvement and representation at consultation meetings.
