FNQ 2025 Sumo Robotics Challenge

QSITE (The Queensland Society for Information Technology in Education) – Far North Queensland Chapter invites local High Schools and Primary Schools to enter the 2025 FNQ Sumo Robotics Challenge.

This year we will be staging a SUMO ROBOTICS CHALLENGE. This event has usually been held on a separate Saturday morning in another Term of the year.  This year the committee has decided to host both events simultaneously… 2 RoboCup events (On Stage and Rescue) plus the Sumo Challenge.

Please note that all 3 events are very different and hence will require different builds.  There will be a winning team from each different discipline and each different age group. There is no overall winning team as there was in Sparky’s Triathlon.

When: Saturday 21^st June, 2025

Where: Bentley Park College 

Registration Cost: $20 per team (schools will be invoiced after the event)       

Time: 8:00 am (for registration)

Registrations Close: Monday 16^th June, 2025

This year there are 3 Divisions within the competition.

• Upper Primary (Years 4-6)
• Junior Secondary (Years 7-9)
• Open Division/Senior Secondary (Years 10-12) or any combination of Year levels from Years 4 to 12
