QSITE Vice President - All round great guy!!

Chris Eske’s QSITE Vice Presidency is marked by a personal drive to increase QSITE’s presence in the education profession through member services.

Chris has been a member of QSITE for seven years and brings to the QSITE community extensive in-school experience as well as vital industry links.

Chris is currently Director of ICT at Brisbane’s Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie). His role oversees all ICT services and the integration of ICTs across the K-12 campus. A similar ICT leadership role at Brisbane Boys’ College saw Chris implement cross-curricular ICT integration and a totally integrated ICT Skills program across Years 4 – 12.

Between these two ICT integration successes Chris held the position of Qld/NT Education Business Development Manager, for Acer Computer Australia. This career history has great importance for the QSITE network.

“My time in industry has helped me advise my schools and helped other colleagues within QSITE on purchasing decisions,” Chris said. ”I believe connecting with industry gives school ICT managers a rare chance to influence the products being designed for education.

“Most good companies see the value of talking with the end users.”

Chris says QSITE support has always had equal benefit to himself and to his employers.

“While the role of QSITE Vice President is demanding of my time the professional reward both personally and for my school easily justifies the commitment,” Chris said.

“I am confident active members receive an outstanding experience from their involvement in QSITE, and this is one reason I am intent on involving educators, industry and institutions in broader QSITE member services.

“The more we connect and share our challenges and experiences, the greater the benefit to QSITE members; and to Queensland schools and Queensland students.”
