Why School leaders and administrators need QSITE
QSITE is a valuable resource for school managers and executives facing a variety of ICT challenges - from accessing and implementing educational software to database management, website development and school networking…. QSITE members have a vast bank of experience; skills and knowledge to help inform these ICT and school management decisions.
QSITE is made up of institutions and individuals who know the value of collaboration - why go it alone?
Your in-school ICT leaders need QSITE
The QSITE membership is dominated by important individuals who provide timely, customised assistance to Queensland educators everyday, both to the QSITE network and to their own work colleagues. QSITE calls these people ICT leaders and they can be found in a variety of roles - from recognised ICT Directors to individual teachers with a passion for ICTs.
ICT leaders are often called upon to inform school management decisions. Giving these key professionals access to a network of professionals facing the same daily decisions and dilemmas is invaluable in this important, and sometimes unofficial, role.
It is often ICT leaders who most benefit from QSITE services and support, and who in turn most benefit your school.
Your teaching staff need QSITE
Queensland teachers face increasing pressure to build their ICT integration skills. But ICT integration is not as simple as providing technology to teachers: professional support networks are vital to developing meaningful learning results for students.
The Education Queensland Pedagogical ICT License Scheme and other pressures to embed ICT into all schooling levels and curriculum areas are a reality.
There is more reason than ever to offer your staff access to the QSITE’ tailored learning communities as they face their individual ICT integration challenges.
Your students and their parents e x p e c t QSITE
ICT integration is a recognised part of our culture, expected and embraced by students and their parents in their daily lives.
There are clear expectations that children and young people will interact and grow confident with emerging technology whilst at school as well as at home.
Furthermore, educational institutions are increasingly viewed as part of a competitive marketplace where the ability to provide a student with differentiated social and vocational skills is highly regarded.
ICT education and ICT integration can flourish in your school with the aid and support of experienced educational professionals …….QSITE is here to help.
