The Queensland Society for Information Technology in Edycation (QSITE) respects your privacy. Protecting your personal information is important to us.

At QSITE we only collect information which is necessary to administer your membership, website access or event registration. Information we collect is used to ensure that your status as financial members is recorded, in order to send regular mail outs and keep you up to date with QSITE activities and initiatives.

Your membership details are strictly confidential and we do not make them available to any outside organisation. Membership forms are retained for seven years in accordance with the requirements of the Australian Taxation Office, at which time the data is destroyed. At any time you may request to see information held about you.

Social Networking Functionality

The QSITE website is a social network for collaboration and networking relating to ICT in education. Profiles of users are only displayed to logged in users. Users of the site can choose the information that is displayed for their account and are responsible for their own profile. Users can create both public content and private content (visible only to logged in members who belong to specific groups) on the site. Personal information is only visible to site administrators for financial membership verification and membership related contact.
