Hermit Park World Microsoft School - 'Riding The ICT Wave' To Lead Whole School Change
Over the last four years, the community of Hermit Park School has been involved in a journey to make ICT underpin all aspects of school life. This presentation will focus upon the elements of whole school ICT change including; Whole School ICT Learning Programs, Room Architecture, Professional Growth Models, Device Procurement, Human and Financial Alignment and conducting school and community business digitally. Research from Fullan, Prakash and Nair and Microsoft regarding ICT change will also be touched upon. Results of the change process have included selection as a World Microsoft School, increased staff and student morale ratings, increased attendance and student engagement as well as improved NAPLAN results.
CPD Planning Tool
Paul Woodrow
With the implementation of Continuing Professional Development requirements for teacher registration from 2010 there has emerged a need to plan and deliver CPD in a meaningful way and to make this process as painless as possible for teachers. This session will focus on CPD delivery and planning through an in-house CPD planning tool that has been designed to be simple to use, requires no extra software or programs and assist in focusing planning across the range of different CPD activities that need to be undertaken to maintain registration. A copy of the Planning tool will be provided to attendees

Share your ideas for QSITE PD in 2009

QSITE in 2009 will continue to facilitate Professional Development (PD) opportunities for its members as it has always done. As well as “face-to-face” PD sessions run in the various chapters, QSITE this year would like to attempt to “walk-the-walk” so to speak and experiment with some virtual delivery. We have some tools we would like to try.
To facilitate the program this year we would like to formally survey members. We would like to know what members want in terms of PD for themselves and their schools, but also what they personally might be prepared to offer back to members. I would ask chapter members who may have already indicated to their respective chapter PD coordinators their intention to offer sessions this year to duplicate this intention through the survey. The results will also inform us for the QSITE conference later in the year.
The only required fields are name, email & chapter. All other fields are optional.
Thanks to everyone for your assistance. A special thanks in advance goes out to those who intend to offer their experiences and/or their expertise back to the community.
Thank you for helping QSITE to engage, connect, share & lead.
