On September 2nd 2009 QSITE Rockhampton organised a Webquest Workshop for local teachers conducted by Frances Moore of Webquest Direct in Canberra. The workshop was attended by 18 teachers and held at Emmaus College Rockhampton. The event was a free event for QSITE members and $55registration for non-members. Teachers will have access to online tools and templates to assist the development of quality webquest built around a world wide accepted model. All are welcome to the QSITE Rockhampton Chapter Meeting to be held at the Coffee Star Cafe at 50 Bolsover St Rockhampton on Wednesday 9^th September. Coffee and drinks are available at 3.30 and nibbles will be provided. The meeting begins at 4pm. We will finalize our planning for local events to be run during Term 4 and we have a guest presenter Bryn Jones of Atomic Learning as well. Atomic Learning is an online PD resource available to all teachers in Education QLD and Catholic Education. Coffee and drinks at 3.30 and the meeting begins at 4pm. We will do a debrief and review feedback on the recent IWB event at Emmaus, discuss the State Conference & other QLD events and finalise planning for professional development activities for the rest of 2009.

A huge workshop is planned to help support the effective use of IWB. Thanks to Rex Boggs and the whole staff at Parkhurst SS who are presenting workshops. Principal Lyle Walker and HOC Moira Downes have also organised a free BBQ for participants. Rockhampton Qsite is supporting this fantastic PD event with funding.
