The Mackay Chapter was formed in 2003 and provides collegial support and professional development to teachers in Mackay, Proserpine, Moranbah and surrounding areas. Activities cater for teachers from P - 12 and are available for those in State Schools, Catholic Schools and Independent Schools, as well as pre-service teachers from Central Queensland University.
This year we are targeting our Professional Development in a number of areas. We will provide opportunites to undertake training in laptop/tablet related software.
Each term we will attempt to run sessions lead by local members and educators and outside bodies where appropriate.
We will again keep costs to a minimum from free to members to simply covering costs. Non members will be given the option to pay a discounted price to include 12 months membership.
